1920's Flapper Headdress

I made this headdress to go with the Pleated Satin & Beaded Trim 1920's Flapper OutfitIt consisted of two ostrich feathers (from the floral section) and a hat pin we found at Hobby Lobby.  I simply removed the pin from the back of the feather round, glued on the ostrich feathers, and glued a piece of super heavy black interfacing over that.  Then I stitched some of the trim on black, no-roll waistband elastic, glued on the feathers, cut the back off a plastic gold button I found at Wal-Mart, and glued that to the center of the round.  Voila, the headdress was done and comfortable (according to Morgan).  For more photos of the dress click here and for more photos of the jewelry click here.

Side note, get your ostrich feathers from the floral section at the craft store rather than out of the bags (with the rest of the feathers) if you can.  They cost the same but are better quality than the ones in the bags and you can easily go through them to pick the best ones.
