Since my dad's other waistcoat shrunk considerably after 1 washing, it was time to make him another.  I had already washed two coordinating  pieces of material in preparation for a waistcoat for one of my ex's,  so I decided they would work perfect for this project.  Using Butterick Pattern #3072 this project came together extremely quickly.  Since my dad has a bit of a tummy (it is pictured on his dressform we made from duct tape), I altered the pattern adding a lacing back vent so there would be plenty of room around the mid-section.
