Red Wool Blend Long Sleeved Short Jacket

Looking to make a jacket for the colder Rendezvous we attend, I designed this piece using  JP Ryan's 18th Century Jackets Pattern for the main body and Wingeo's Late 18th C. Robe A L'Anglaise for the sleeve pattern.  Unlike the blue brocade jacket above, I wanted this to look more working class so I did not include a stomacher and used straight pins for the closure.  The jacket skirt is the shorter version of the pattern (the blue brocade the longer) and has the split-v for the center back.  Although the rest of the piece was machine sewn, a little hand sewing was required (see the above photo) in order to finish attaching the sleeve linings.  The lining is a matching 100% cotton fabric which I also used to line the Pirate Coat.
