This vest\petticoat combo I made for my mother from Butterick Pattern #6196.   I altered and used the original pattern over and over, often leaving the sides and top of the straps unattached with eyelet lacing closures to make them more adjustable.  You can see more pictures of my Mom wearing this outfit in the PVR 2005 photos.
